We’re ever on the go,

Afraid to stop or slow.

We close our eyes at will –

Won’t see the hurt or ill.

We live in our own sphere,

No room for others here.

We’re out for our fair shake –

Won’t give but gladly take.

We strive to rise above,

And lose all sight of love.

A simple thing to say,

And yet hard to convey.

A tender word or act,

Can have a great impact.

A smile can save a life,

A hand can ease the strife.

We have what others lack,

And yet we do hold back.

Surrendering our voice,

We take away their choice.

Verse Of The Week:
18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. – 1 John 3:18

(Disclaimer: The great depths of my sorrow can only be justly compared to the impressive heights of my joy. If you stay tuned in long enough you’ll begin to see the silver ray of hope in even the darkest of my reflections.)

*In light of the upcoming holidays I will be suspending further publication of my poems to focus on my family. Lord willing, I will resume my weekly posts in early January. Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Let us remember the Reason for the Season. Much love and God bless.*
