This lonely place,

Is Death’s embrace.

An endless rain,

That will not wane,

Silences hope,

And weaves a rope –

A bitter noose,

That won’t let loose.

Afraid to feel,

To face what’s real,

I slam the door;

Try to ignore.

But pain seeps in,

Deadly as sin,

In memories,

That haunt and tease.

A moan, a sigh,

A whispered lie.

Though thoughts may roam,

They call me home.

Caught unaware,

I trip the snare.

I fear the end,

Around the bend,

And close my eyes,

Shout to the skies.

A voice breaks through,

To shift my view,

As hands reach out,

Removing doubt.

Filled with a peace,

That does not cease,

I bid farewell;

Escape my cell.

Step into light,

Release the fight.

Surrender all,

Break down the wall.

I choose to live,

And so forgive.

Verse Of The Moment:

Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. – 1 Peter 3:9

(Disclaimer: The great depths of my sorrow can only be justly compared to the impressive heights of my joy. If you stay tuned in long enough you’ll begin to see the silver ray of hope in even the darkest of my reflections.)
