A cloud of doubts,

Whispers and shouts.

A foe, a friend,

A start, an end.

Put to the test,

Who comes out best?

One right, one wrong,

One weak, one strong.

Words unspoken,

Hearts left broken.

The world will stare,

But doesn’t care.

It’s all a joke,

Some fun to poke.

So take your aim,

And lay your claim.

For it’s your right,

To stand and fight.

There’s backs to break,

And coals to rake.

A toe to crush,

And truths to hush.

A need to win,

Despite the sin.

A throne of bones,

Just sticks and stones.

A crown of shame,

Oneself to blame.

Gaining it all,

Only to fall.

Kingdoms are lost,

When love’s the cost.

Verse Of The Day:

19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible…I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. – 1 Corinthians 9:19; 22

(Disclaimer: The great depths of my sorrow can only be justly compared to the impressive heights of my joy. If you stay tuned in long enough you’ll begin to see the silver ray of hope in even the darkest of my reflections.)
