I’ve heard that time does heal,
And change the way we feel.
I’m not so sure that’s true;
My bruises are still blue.
Throughout these bitter years,
I’ve found no end to tears.
My strength is a disguise,
With walls built to the skies.
One thing that you should know:
We reap what we do sow.
The seeds we choose to plant,
Will grow – don’t think they can’t.
They bring us joy or woe –
The fruit of what’s below.
Be careful what you tend,
For you decide the end.
Do give this life your best;
Your Harvest shall be rest.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. – Galatians 6:7

Mandy, you hit the nail on the head with this one. We all have free will to do what we want. We can choose to build our walls up and hide our hurt and pain or we can plant the seeds of joy and reap what we sow, building on our life’s experiences both good times and hard times. Thank you again for sharing and putting down in words what many of us I am sure deal with everyday in our journey. God Bless you and your family.

“I’ve heard that time does heal, And change the way we feel. I’m not so sure that’s true; My bruises are still blue.” So true! People tend to forget that when your wounded, you may heal – but you are still left with a scar. Your right – true comfort is found in the Word of God.
