Time does show that human life is fragile;

People will fall be they wise or agile.

Do yourself a favor, heed this warning:

Fear the tide of Fate for he is scorning.

We all put on armor for a reason,

Yet it shields us for so short a season.

Broken hearts can not just keep on beating;

Hope is lost in every simple greeting.

Words will crumble, void of any meaning;

Straight and tall give way to crippled leaning.

Empty life is lived in forward motion;

Constant action frees me from emotion.

Ever on the move and never slowing

Keeps my thoughts at bay and fears from growing.

Idle time does seem to lead to sinking,

Just as surely as the act of thinking.

Better to get lost in mindless chatter,

Than allow my tattered heart to shatter.

Thank my lucky stars for these distractions,

For they stall a visceral reaction.

Active hands do keep my heart from feeling;

To be numb may be my only healing.

Busy lives do make the time move faster,

Ever edging toward the end disaster.

Pain and loss will not stay dead and buried;

Time was bought but still the darkness carried.

Dreams became a place of endless haunting;

Visions brought to life, so cruel and daunting.

Forcing me to face all that I’m wanting,

Sleep provides my fear a stage for flaunting.

Shunning truth and living in a bubble,

Brings me little peace and leads to trouble.

Verse Of The Week:

 17 The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17
