PhotonQ-When the Phoenix Rises

Death stalks the night and hungers to ensnare,

But Faith’s small voice reminds us to beware.

The steady hand of Love serves to declare,

“He will not give us more than we can bear.

Hope rises from the ashes of despair;

It fills our hearts and permeates the air.

Beneath the surface, lungs cry out for air;

A battle wages as my thoughts ensnare.

It’s easier to give into despair,

When every instinct urges to beware,

And every second offers more to bear.

The darkness dawns – a war cry to declare.

“The Son will rise once more,” my God declares.

“The winds will shift; again you’ll drink clean air.

Your fears and pain will be My cross to bear;

No longer must you live this life ensnared.

Do tell this enemy of ours, ‘Beware,’

For he shall be the one who will despair.”

Oh, to live a life free from my despair;

To find and taste such fruit of which declares,

This gift stems from your wisdom to beware.

I dream of hallowed castles in the air;

At last I’m free from all that once ensnared.

This vision gives me strength to grin and bear,

But fleeting is my faith when life’s a bear.

How quickly does this heart of mine despair,

As Death’s cold fingers once again ensnare!

My soul forgets what Truth alone declares;

My fragile hold on Hope dissolves in air.

My spirit stirs within and pleads ‘Beware!”

The time for truth has come – again beware!

The choices in this life are brought to bear.

There is no better time to clear the air;

Here lie the paths of Life and of Despair.

It’s up to us which road we shall declare –

We can’t allow these chains strength to ensnare.

So please beware the power of Despair.

I can not bear Death’s victory declared.

Give Fear the air and it can not ensnare.

Verse Of The Week:
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope, 27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay. – Acts 2:26-27
