Key to my heart

Key to my heart (Photo credit: FLASHFLOOD®)

Within the bleeding heart,

There lies a secret key.

It will reveal your part,

Be still and you will see.

You have a role to play.

There is a bigger plan,

So far beyond this day,

Beyond the scope of man.

There is a greater call,

A treasure to be sought.

You can escape the fall,

Through love that can’t be bought.

An epic sacrifice,

With death a debt was paid.

No less than blood sufficed,

As His dear life was laid.

New life not ours to take,

But just the same He gives.

And still we do forsake,

While He longs to forgive.

To choose to risk it all,

In search of something more,

Is taking up the call,

And opening the door:

The first becomes the last,

The rich becomes the poor.

A clean slate from the past –

What are you waiting for?

Two paths do lie ahead:

The narrow and the straight.

Or streets paved by the dead,

And marked by all their hate.

You have a choice to make,

A chance to change your fate.

A road to leave or take,

But time will never wait.

Verse Of The Week:
“Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know,” says the Lord. – Jeremiah 33:3
